Encounter on a Plane and a Reflection on Current Times
Do you believe all is normal in the world?
I was recently on a plane flight and met a young Hispanic woman, around twenty-six years old, traveling with her baby. She told me she works in New York and flies back to her home in Ohio every fifteen days, earning around five thousand dollars per trip. Last year, her husband tragically died while crossing the border.
Her situation made me think about the current state of our economy. Opening the borders could be seen as a way to prop up the American fiat currency. Fiat currency, unlike gold or silver-backed currencies, derives its value from debt, bank loans, and spending. In theory, the more debt we have, the more stable the dollar becomes. So, allowing millions of new immigrants to enter the country could potentially increase borrowing and debt through credit cards and loans, further perpetuating the current system.
However, this approach comes with significant risks. Our current economic situation is fragile, potentially leading to a digital system paving the way for the mark of the beast and global control by the antichrist. Do you feel like everything is okay, or do you, like me, sense that Jesus' return is imminent?
The state of Israel, the global economy, and the increasing division between nations seem to suggest a potential world war on the horizon. Churches are struggling internally, and families often present a facade of normalcy. These signs point towards the reality that we are indeed living in the end times.
So, how do we prepare ourselves for what is coming? This reminds me of a childhood experience when I would cross one of my brothers, and he would warn me of the dangers that awaited me at home. God's wrath is coming, that much is certain, but what practical steps can we take to brace ourselves for the future?
Thankfully, Jesus promised to rapture believers in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. As 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 states: "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever!" This promise offers hope and encouragement in the face of uncertain times.
